Jason Marroquin

Coach Jason’s main focus is technique and fundamental basics. This led him to lead the very first girl from Foothill high school, Deija Hodges, to be a State Qualifier. In 2020 he Coached the 2nd Foothill Girl State Qualifier, Xandra Edwards, who now Wrestles at the University of Jamestown. That same year his team Qualified over 10 Girls to Masters. Among those Masters Qualifiers was Viviana Davalos who earned a wrestling scholarship to Vanguard University. With a strong and dedicated team, Jason led the way to take 2 nd overall at CIF as a team.

Following this success, he became the Head Coach for the Boys Foothill Wrestling Team in 2021. He mentored and Coached 4 Boys to CIF with Peter Mitchell ultimately placing top 20 in the state of CA. He is now attending the University of San Francisco and practices MMA. In his last year as the Head Coach for Foothill, Jason coached another 4 Boys to CIF with Troy Hong qualifying for Masters. Coaching for over 10 years, coach Marroquin, continues to share his passion, technique and love for the sport of Wrestling!
